HELLO Florida!

And goodbye very cold and wintery Alberta. Hehe! Well, at least for the last 3 days we have left here...
Every year my husband and I try to sneak away without our monkeys to a warm destination for some us time. If you have never tried it, I highly recommend it! You don't need to go far, just spend at least 3 days away kidless together. It will change your life!
So we have been busy soaking up the sun, doing lots of swimming, and eating some amazing food. I am pretty sure I've gained back all that I lost eating clean, oops! But I am enjoying the time spent with my husband, time away from my boys making me be more appreciative of being their mommy even when they are driving me crazy, and trying to get refreshed before we fly back home back into what looks like its going to be the most busiest season of our lives.
Did I mention that on top of my already busyness, that we are moving in a month, and starting a new business? God is good, don't get me wrong I feel SO incredibly blessed but ahhhhhh! Lol.

So far we have spent some time in the keys, my husband went fishing and I layed by the pool and worked on my tan! We attempted snorkelling, but unfortunately I became extremely sick so it was a total bust. And we went to an alligator farm, which was probably so far my favourite thing to do! (Aside from the shopping of course, shopping is always a must for this girl.) Holding a baby alligator, another 30 before 30 check!

30 before 30

Today we visited a flea market, aside from managing to find a beautiful cuff bracelet and some shark tooth bracelets for my boys, it was kind of a bust too. Lots of un-practical clothing/items, cheaply made at boutique prices. That and lots of women pushing small dogs in what I could only come up with as a doggie stroller? Aren't you suppose to walk your dog? At least, thats what my mother always told me to do as a kid. Either way it was weird.

So for now, I am enjoying Florida. Florida is a blessing. And I am loving the weather! Do you Floridians know how lucky you are?! And I am bracing myself for snow as I step off the plane...

Enjoying un-distracted cuddles :)

Easter!

A week late, but better than never, right? We decided to ditch the city for Easter and spend it with my sister and her whole clan of kids. As much as I love the city I live in, I love getting out of the city for a change of pace! We relaxed, chilled, and played, or as my boys put it, "I am playing with my friends mommy, I love my friends!" They refused to call them their cousins, just "My friends!" Which reminded me of this image floating around FB...

Ain't that the truth?
Now onto my very photo heavy blog post. My boys had a blast over the weekend, and this year, Easter was more fun for the boys (finally), than me!

We started out the weekend at our Church's annual Easter Egg Hunt! Boys got loaded with chocolate :P

We hit the road, and as soon as we got to my sisters the kids pulled out the decorating kits! A first for us :)

We tried out the glow in the dark easter egg hunt, with glow in the dark tops! Didn't glow as much as I would have liked, but the tops were a hit!

Easter morning the kids got their baskets. Lightning, Hello Kitty, Justin Bieber and Angry Birds!

They were super excited about hunting for eggs, as you can clearly tell from their smiles, lol.

We took the opportunity to take some photos of all my parents grandkids, (minus one who lives with her dad!) (7 grand babies from 2 children ain't bad eh?)

And when we got home, the boys wanted to watch their eggs hatch, so we stuck them in some water and in a short (or long if you are 3 yrs old) 48hr wait, their eggs hatched!

Hoping everyone had an equally exciting (and relaxed) Easter weekend as we did! My family can drive me crazy, but at the end of the day I am extremely grateful for such a close and loving family. :)

Valentines Day for the Hubs!

It's less than a month away, have you thought about what you are going to do for your husband yet?
Well I seen this posted on another blog, and thought it was brilliant! After over 3 years of marriage, battling immigration for the first 3, 2/half year old twins and both of us working, our "sparks" have fizzled down. Note; I said down but not out!!! Valentines Day usually just comes and go's with no gift exchanges, no cards, just some time spent together on the couch cuddling and watching some movies after the boys go to bed. Which is fine by me, I hate "stuffed" anythings. They just get dusty and take up space cluttering my house!!! And I am pretty sure I am not the only momma out there who feels the same way. ( About the romance fizzling, not the stuffies! ) It is SO hard to find time for yourself little own time for romance! Kids, Cleaning, & Groceries practically take up a whole day! It never ends with little ones around. Imagine sending this to your hubby's office, what a laugh he would get! So perhaps this might help you and your husband to take a little time together, have a few laughs, and re-kindle that romance. Or at least pig out and watch a good movie! =) Hehe.

If you would like to use this as a gift for your husband, you can check out the listing on my ETSY shop. Only $1.99
