the Working Mom

I work two full days outside the home. As much as I love my job (going into daycares and playing my guitar/singing), I do not like leaving the comfort of my home, or leaving my boys. Don't get me wrong, the break is awesome, but I just can't help but feel guilty for leaving them behind all day, for not taking them on outings, doing crafts, or just spending time with them. How do all you single mama's (& dads) or moms who have to work full time do it!?

So today, I came back for lunch with my boys at my mom's house. Very grateful that she takes them 1 day a week so I can work! And as we are having a conversation, we hear someone playing the drums. We both stopped talking mid sentence trying for the life of us to figure out who was playing them! Taye (my neice) was at school. Then I thought perhaps my dad had a student. Nope. He had just left the house. Then it dawned on us! It was my Ezrah! My very talented, smart, musical Ezrah! Who knew he could keep a beat? Apparently everyone but me...& my mom)

So here is the story, my wonderful dad, bought the boys a real drum set for their birthday. I know, what 3 year old do you know owns a $500 set of drums? SPOI-LLLLED!
Anyways, I guess he has been "practicing" when I have not been paying attention. (See, told you I was missing out!)

So without further ado, I give my 3 year old, and that's 3 years and 2 months old, on drums! OKAY, so he is not Mozart, but he sure as heck has a little rhythm in there!

I also wanted to let ya'll know if a little giveaway going on over at Baby Cakes Crunchy Mama's, I am sponsoring for 1 of my lovely blog designs in my ETSY shop!!! You still have time to enter ;) Just click { HERE }

  1. Aw!! I know how you feel about the whole guilt this! But it seems like you have a pretty awesome job too! :)

    And I guess some people do it (not thats it's easy for them) because sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. I just couldn't imagine doing though, not this soon with my little ones so young!

    Kudos girl! :)
